CHIMO REFUGES COVID-19 SANITARY PROTOCOL

These are strange times for us all; and it is a great privilege to be allowed to re-open. There are quite a few changes of late due to the COVID-19 outbreak and Chimo Refuges endeavours to offer a safe and clean environment to all of our guests.

 

In the spirit of cooperation and safety, we have adopted the following sanitary protocols.

 

For your protection and the protection of our other guests, we ask that everyone follow these rules carefully.

GENERAL CLEANING AND SANITIZING

Following every visit -  REFUGES:

  • All horizontal and vertical surfaces (doors, frames, handles, ladders, floors, counters)

Daily cleaning – PUBLIC SPACES:

  • Bathroom building

  • Central building

  • All surfaces, refuges and public areas are cleaned and disinfected with a 50% mix of javel and water.

  • Had sanitizer dispensers are installed next to the door of each refuge.

  • Javel mix and paper towels are included in all buildings.

ZEN DEN & TEEPEE

Only 1 family in the Zen Den and the Teepee at once.

  • Please be courteous  and mindful of the other guests who may also wish to use those spaces.

  • These spaces will also be cleaned on a daily basis

  • It is up to our guests to clean all surfaces that they touch after every use.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Bedsheets (queen will fit all our beds)

  • Blankets, pillows

  • Bath towels

  • Body wash / soap - shampoo

  • Your food and supplies

  • Condiments (salt-pepper-cooking oil etc)

  • Bug spray

  • All clients must either dispose of their leftover items or take them home.

  • Dishes- Cutlery- Pots - Pans and cooking utensils

SOCIAL DISTANCING PROTOCOL

CENTRAL BUILDING:

Only 1 family in the central building at once.

  • All meals must be eaten in the refuge, not in the Central Building.

  • It is the client’s responsibility to clean all horizontal surfaces after every use, which includes:

    • Fridge door, stove, microwave, counters, tables, door handles.

  • All dishes, pots and pans must be washed and put away after every use.

THE BATHTROOM BUILDING

  • Javel wipes are available in both the bathroom and shower buildings.

  • All visitors are required to wipe down the areas that have been touched: sink, faucet, toilet seat, handles after every use.

  • All visitors are required to give a light Javel spray to the shower after every use.

  • Please use the disinfectant wipes provided  for the faucets and handles.

GROCERY SHOPPING

  • It is strongly recommended that all visitors do their grocery shopping in their town of origin prior to arrival.

  • Our current wait time at Provigo and Bourassa is approximately 45 minutes.

CENTRAL BUILDING SCHEDULE

Only 1 family in the central building at once.

  • A schedule is available for visitors to reserve their spot twice a day to make their meals.

  • Please make that your priority upon your arrival.

  • We have allotted 30 minute timeframes for each guest. Please respect other guests’ time slot.

  • We ask that these rules are strictly respected.

  • We ask that all guests respect each other’s allotted time.

NO OUTSIDE VISITORS

  • The cabins and public areas are for guests only.

  • No outside visitors are allowed on the premises.

  • This is for the protection of our guests including the owners :-)

CLIENT GREETING

Chimo Refuges will always greet our guests personally.

  • Once you arrive in the parking lot, please call at 514-248-2576 and one of us will meet you at your vehicle.

  • We will wear a mask and politely request that all guests do the same.

  • We will bring everything up for you.

  • All guests must load and unload their own gear into the 4-wheeler and trailer.
